Now I'm a Yoga Teacher and I love it! The way to get there is a quite interesting one... My Yoga Teacher Training was at Shanti Yoga in Nelson BC by lovely Joy and her great team. I learnt a lot during my training. From anatomy and how the muscle partnership work together to how to make Yoga accessible for everyone (beginners, elder people, people with injuries) and also about Thai massage and other things . I was lucky and had very nice and lovely classmates and two lovely roommates as well:...
After I left my wwoofing place in the mountains in Nelson a bit earlier than I planned I went back into the hostel Dancing Bear. My Yoga Teacher Training would start a couple of days later. So I had some time for myself and enjoyed the Indian Summer in Nelson. In the hostel I met very nice people like 67 years old power lady Margret who took me with her to her friends concert. I also used the time to go to some Yoga classes at my Yoga school and knew immediately that my decision to go there was...
One my friends came home to the wwoofing place and said that someone gave a speech there and asked for support to save Jumbo Wild because someone would plan to build a winter resort there. My friends said that they wanted to go there for 3 to 4 days and support the community there. I was in two minds... I was a bit confused what exactly we should do there because nobody knew it. They just wanted to go there. Also the idea of being in the wildness without anything scared me. In addition I feared...
My start in Nelson was quite good and I looked forward to my wwoofing place where I would stayed until my Yoga Teacher Training would start. That means for around 4 weeks. Actually that was the longest time I stayed at the same place so far on my journey. Well, I left 4 days earlier together with my wwoofing partner Sarah. I was very happy to work with her there. She is such an interesting, intelligent and nice person who inspired me a lot. One day she did Tarot Card reading for me which...
Nelson! I am finally there. So many people on my journey through Canada recommended to me that I have to go there and everything went just great when I made my decision to take the bus to Nelson. I arrived the weekend before I would go to my Wwoofing place. So I had enough time to settle in and discover the village. I liked Nelson immediately and loved the atmosphere there. It reminded me about Kinsale in Ireland. Very alternative and Hippie like. Lots of creative energy. I loved it!
